For almost eighty years, Bell’s Tavern has been a fixture of the local Lambertville community. Established by Jack Bell, Bell’s was initially just a tavern favored by factory workers. Over the decades Bells has evolved from an all-you-can eat Italian spot into a full service Italian based restaurant offering a wide variety of dishes.
Since 2000 owner operators Paul Eschallier and Maryellen Zingarini have continued to celebrate Bell’s time honored traditions of great food, generous portions, as well as innovative specials. All the while maintaining Bells family friendly, community atmosphere. Regular visitors to Bells will see in the faces of our staff the strong commitment to service that makes our establishment special. In fact many of our servers and bartenders have been with us for over 30 years, an uncommon fact in the restaurant business.
At the heart of our restaurant is the original 30 seat, oval bar, creating a warm, friendly place where all types of people gather. Young and old, locals and weekend visitors to Lambertville come together to relax and sample Bells quality draft beers, over 30 bottled beer selections, 15 wine selections by the glass, as well as our cocktail menu offerings.
Our menu centers around home made pasta sauces, grilled steaks and chicken dishes, as well other tavern favorites. Our weekly blackboard specials are where Chef Paul shines. We offer fresh fish, innovative pasta dishes, as well as dishes inspired by a wide range of cultural and seasonal influences.
